 My unique skill set is vital in creating new and innovative designs/art.

 

1. Communication - is key. I am a good listener, can process feedback and translate my “nerd design” thoughts into everyday English.
2. Part of the Collective (Team) - were harmony and cohesion can create success
3. Research - the only way to guess the future is to understand the past
4. Conceptualisation - The smell of lead on paper really gets the creative juices following
5. Time Management - allows me to work on multiple projects at once
6. Never Give Up, Never surrender! - I believe there is always a solution and the answer is just waiting to be discovered.
7. The Process - I have a full understanding of:
   • Digital vs print design
   • Pantone vs CMYK vs RGB
   • Setting up of die traces/worksmaps
   • Print types (litho, gravure, pad, screen etc.)
   • Finishing (spot varnishes, embossing etc.)
   • Various print materials (paper/cardboard types & weights, banners, etc.)

The powerful weapons in my arsenal:

1. Windows PC - I have been working/playing on computers since the early 90’s. Basic repairs, maintenance and networking is old news to me.
2. Microsoft Office - Let’s be honest no one likes Word, but you can't live without it.
3. Adobe Photoshop - Want to look younger, thinner? I could turn you into the Terminator if you like?
4. Adobe Illustrator
5. Adobe InDesign
6. Adobe Dreamweaver, HTML, Joomla - yes I can read the Matrix
7. Digital Camera
